london
well...really sad and appalled to heard abt the blast in london a few days ago...it was quite a bustling n busy city when i visited it, n the tube was the cleanest metro among all the country i visited..lets just hope the city n its pple can pick themselves up asap...alright i shall enact my story in london now....
the feeling of touching down at stansted airport was excellent! the weather was cooling, the language n signboards were familiar n we r going to stay at benedict, my brother's friend, apartment instead of hostel, which means we r not going to stay with strangers n my parents n sister will be meeting us at london too!..we planned 5 days 4 nights in london so time was pretty plentiful n we cud slow down our pace a little bit...our first meal was settled at wagamama, a jap restaurant which have quite a few branches all over the world...the feel was so weird...cos the workers at the restaurant r mostly angmohs n but they are wearing the japanese traditional costume, looked so obiang...haa..the food was still not too bad...well...cos the day we arrived was sunday so most shops were closed so we stayed indoors to watch wimbledon n confederation cup n loaded pictures into benedict's computer to free our CF cards...
the next day we went to the railway station to meet our parents n sister...we were late n they were annoyed...hai...its always my brother lah...his time management is pretty bad n always late, but my father always vent frustration at me...argh...so unfair!..haa...but nvm lah...he is fine after letting it out...we went to their hotels n checked it n made our way to madame tussaud...its a freaking expensive place to visit..not sure if its becos the price were seasonal...it costs us 20pounds a person! my father enjoyed it, luckily...maybe becos we din tell him how much it costs..hee..after that we went to several places...the hyde park, then a palace n westminister, i think thats where tony blair works...along the way we saw river thames n the london eye...london eye is a famous ferris wheel in london...i wanted to try but my father sort of disapprove so i had to give it a miss...if i ever go to london again i will definitely try it behind his back...hee..
the next day we went to eat roast duck under benedict's recommendation, it was indeed very nice!..he told us can even ask them to deliver back to spore one..haha...maybe next time when i am there then i will order some back for whoever happens to read this entry...haa..any order anyone? after that we went to buckingham palace..hai..my kuku sister made a mistake..haa..she thot there is a change of guards every 1 hr..but actually its only once a day at 1130am..so we missed the show...what a pity..after that we continued walking until evening time...my sister, brother n benedict went to watch a musical, woman in white...this musical is power siah..it relegated le miserable to a 2nd stream theatre...hmm...i gave it a miss cos i felt my parents needed someone to take care of them n my sister wanted to watch it more than me....so i went back to the hotel with my parents..hai...my father really dun see me up...he judges my ability to take care of them n send them back to hotel...it wud have really been a breeze if we successfully take the tube n walked back to the hotel, but that night rained so we had to take a cab back to the hotel but unfortunately i only has the hotel name but not the address n the driver did not know where the hotel is..gan chiong!!so after a few wrong turns then we finally make it to the hotel...hai...so suay...went the time play daidee with my father n cos the rained din stop so i illegally stayed at their room for the night...
final day at london..we first visited the tower bridge...its a bridge with a interesting history...frankly speaking i enjoyed visiting the bridge more than visiting all the museums...anyway can someone tell me how the song "london bridge" came about?...anyway after that..following the tube lines...we went to stamford bridge, home of chelsea football club and then to hard rock to continue my collection of hard rock t-shirt and then highbury, home of arsenal football club..haa..our europe trip is so like a soccer tour..next stop was LSE..decided to pay it a visit cos i am taking its external programme...after that we met up with benedict for dinner...this dinner was special...cos its the most expensive food i ever paid with my own money..haha...we had fondue, a swiss cuisine which melts cheese n mix wine together and maintain boiling, pretty exquisite! it wud have been a wonderful dish to be taken in the winter cos it will keep u warm..it was our last meal in london...save the best for last ya n marks the end of my story in london......
